"Let's raft downriver," I said. "We can find a new paradise to build in," I said. What a dam twigbrain I was!

First, the swiftly descending rapids dislodged most of our supplies. Then even the goodwater became salty and toxic. We barely managed to claw our way back through the toxic currents to this miserable scrap of land.

Those of us who survived? We're left with contaminated pelts and a future as rough as the bark on a crooked log...
