Rebirth Controls

Basic controls for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. You can access the controls from the main menu of the game. You cannot change or view them while in a run. I created this guide so new players can quickly and easily view the controls if they forget something or don't know how to use an item slot.

What's New

Some of the controls for Isaac have changed slightly. You can also now drop items. You can now also toggle the map, fullscreen, sound, and pause the game. Gamepads are also now supported; but only a scrub would use a gamepad.

All controls are now fully configurable!

Controls

Walk Up: W
Walk Down: S
Walk Left: A
Walk Right: D
Shoot Up: Up
Shoot Down: Down
Shoot Left: Left
Shoot Right: Right
Bomb: E
Item: Spacebar
Pill/Card: Q
Drop: L Ctrl

Notes for the confused: If you have an item like Schoolbag and you need to swap, you need to switch between D Infinity options or if you're playing as T. Isaac, tap left-control to swap and hold left-control to drop.

Usually, it's ESC to pause and runes and special items like Anima Sola or Dark Arts will have the same use key as cards and pills. Also, said special items like Anima Sola or Dark Arts will not take up the same room as cards, pills and runes despite appearing in the bottom-right corner, allowing you to use them whilst keeping a Q item on hand.

I'm not sure what happens if you use Schoolbag to carry D Infinity and another active item.

How do you get the stats to show up on the left side of the screen in-game? I've seen them when Rythian plays Antibirth, and the Switch version of Afterbirth+ lets you turn that on and off in the options menu, but I can't find it on the PC version...
