I do something elses, I transform rots in carbon
the exces, I burn them to heat water and use it with turbins
I do the same with the seeds

i have a consumption of around 500/m, thats like 8 spoilage per second, my gleba base is belt based, almots no bots, so everything rots in the belts which are filtered out of the belt and reprocessed for nutrients, is a f* mess

I don't know about spoilage, when everything work good there are not too many.
The problem is when the system is full and there is no more things to craft
