It's not the sort of event you can just do though is it. I don't know any school that let their students do it so you would have needed to join an athletics club. It's an odd event when you think about it.

I wanted to pole vault when I was younger. Now that I'm older, well my weight wouldn't let me get off the ground but even if I were slim I wouldn't be able to pole vault because I now have a slight fear of heights or maybe it's vertigo.
