Have you ever looked at the cover of “Cars” and thought: “Wow... they could have at least made a proper cover”?





Well, I thought the same thing for a few years, until I discovered that Steam itself provides a way for us to customize our Games grid.

Well, if you want to change the cover to something random. the way is very easy, just click with the right button of your cursor on the game and go to manage, then just click where it says "set Custom Image



The same goes for the Logo and Wallpaper on the Game page



Then just search for the image you want in your local files and hit Enter and



Voila! You have a Custom Cover for your "Cars"





Note: Steam only supports .jpg, .jpeg, or .PNG files

You can find the images on the internet or you can create them yourself
I only suggest that you create them in one of the following dimensions, so that everything is perfect:

for the Cover that will be on the grid:
460x215, 920x430, 600x900 (<-- I usually create them in this specific dimension)
For the wallpaper:
1920x620 (<-- I usually create them in this specific dimension) or 3840x1240

Logo:
all I ask is that it be in the best possible quality.

The website I use for the creation of these covers is nothing less than "Canvas".

Including this cover I was the one who created it in the "Canvas" in the free version.

A much "easier" way is the SteamGridDB websit.



Here each community of each game can create its own covers, wallpapers, logos and icons and make them available to all users.This way, we, mere players of the best Cars game ever, don't have to enter dubious websites or spend more than 1 hour to find good and quality images.

Then, after entering the site, just search for the name of the game:



Choose which cover we want from the range of options that the community has offered us:



With the cursor at the top, just download the cover:







and then follow the steps in the previous section.

the positive side of this site is that certain creators have already created in certain communities (The "Cars" Community is not yet one of them") animated covers, animated Wallpapers and even animated logos, which brings a new charm to our Steam library

an even easier way to do this whole process is through SGDBoop.

SGDBoop is nothing more than, and I quote "a tool that automatically applies assets from SteamGridDB directly to your Steam library with a click of a button, removing the need to download and set them manually."

Personal opinion:
if you want to change just one or two things, you don't even need to install it... but if you want to customize everything from your Steam Library, I advise you. because with this tool you won't have to install about 300 images and your work is much more streamlined.
