So first of all, all the stuff used with this modification is done from Image & Forms original game files, so basically I don't own this stuff. I simply ripped it from PS4 version of the game then stitched and modified it together with Gimp.

This works at least with Windows version. Not entirely sure about OS X and Linux, but should work if you find identical file. Controller should work fine with all operating systems.

With Dualshock 4, simply plug the cable or pair it with bluetooth and you are done! Game should directly support the controller. You can use DS4Windows[ds4windows.com] and use XInput giving wider game support as well, but you may miss out on some other games giving dualshock prompts directly![pcgamingwiki.com]

With Dualshock 3, follow these instructions to set up SCP.[pcgamingwiki.com]

With Dualshock 2/1 via converter and other controllers DirectInput controllers, either set up your controller in steam big picture settings or use tool like SDL2 Gamepad Tool[www.generalarcade.com] to set up your controller and set it as enviromental variable. Game should now work with your controller like a dream! You can also try out x360ce.

IT'S SIMPLE!

• Go to [installation folder]\BundlePC\Sprites\buttons\ folder.
  (Tip: usual install location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\SteamWorld Dig\, you can access your quickly by right clicking game on Steam, properties and from local files tab select "Browse local files...")
  
• Backup "buttons_0[8888].png" file e.g. renaming it "buttons_0[8888].png.bak"
  
• Rename new downloaded file to "buttons_0[8888].png" and copy it there.
  
• Launch the game and enjoy!
