Well, the RL ring collapse spot would work the same if, for example, Neville superplexed Kalisto. Wouldn't be credible though, just like the situation you mentioned ingame. Sometimes you need to play along. ;)

WWE has actually done this a few times live through the years. Very carefully staged of course.
