"Owners of PCs equipped with the Intel Alder Lake CPU could run into trouble when playing games. The Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection breaks games under Windows 10 and Windows 11, which can no longer be used. Intel has since published a list of affected CPUs."
The Gold Edition may have DRM, but Anni Edition maybe not?
Anyway. This guild helped me fix it on Win 10. For Win 11, needs additional fixes outside of this game guide.
Not everyone has problems with the new version!
".....Many of the problems the game had came from this troubled time of takeovers and closures.
A main problem was the "Anniversary Edition" because the changes created new problems and no one was there to fix them...."

Whatever will be, will be
The "past" is not ours to see
Not in its full size, in all
What will be, will be.......................
I have played SF all my life and now when I got friends to play it with, I wasn't sure which to play - Anniversary Edition version, which has less Free Game Mode maps,
or Demons of the Past, which does not have some fixes.
