Description

Antares is my new tool for Master of Orion and allows you to edit some hidden settings which are not available in the game interface. Right now it allows you to do the following:

Change the interface language to: English, Russian, German, French, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Korean, or Japanese
Note: not all languages are fully supported and completed yet.

Q: Why should I trust you and download this???!
A: I created many tools and launchers for games in the past years. Just look out for the black sheep logo from Bl4ckSh33p-Soft[soft.bl4cksh33p.de]. Some of my tools were made for Cube World, The Elder Scrolls Online and World of Warcraft. The software itself is still provided "as is" without any guarantees or warranty. Q: What are the system requirements?
A: My tool only runs on Windows. It was designed for Windows 8 but should run well on 7 and 10.
To allow editing of configuration files in your program files folder and saving settings, administrator privileges are required.

Q: How do I install it?
A: Just download the Antares.exe and run it from anywhere.

I just released v0.6 and added a button to open the game folder. Let me know if you have other suggestions.

Sorry for the late response. I am not tracking any crashes and had no crashes or reports of them so far. It just edits the config.cfg so far and does not change or add anything to steam or the other game files.

Are you tracking game crashes after using the tool? I found this out the hard way when I edited the file manually. Unfortunately the crash is so generic that it's not intuitive that a game file being changed is the cause, but the fix I listed below does correct the crash problem. Even the running the fix is misleading as the feedback indicates to the user that everything is OK (leading one to believe that it did nothing at all). I suspect (emphasise "suspect") it just updates checksums stored somewhere in the Steam anti-cheat monitoring. Hope this helps in your endevor.

When you create a new game you can set the turn limit for the wining condition with most points. Maybe you have unlimited turns if you disable it.

Antares only changes the config.cfg so far. You can do it with Notepad if you like but it may be easier and more convenient to just select the desired language in a dropdown box in my app. :)
