Combat Jump/Unable to Loot Bug Fix!

Hi everyone!

I believe I found a fix, that I am able to replicate on my character, for the Combat Jump bug. I hope this is able to help out players who may have been holding out for a fix.

NOTE: This will not work on characters who are stuck in place unless they're stuck in place on a horse, in a mob of enemies.

1) Be on a horse in a mob of enemies.

2) Die while on the horse. You'll seemingly be knocked out like immortal NPCs are for a few moments.

3) It's fixed! When you get back up, you should be able to use combat arts once again as well as pick up items.

SECOND NOTE: I've noticed that not all deaths result in the "knockout" because the horse dies before the player. You may want to unequip some gear or something to try to ensure you just fall off the horse instead of outliving it. This can probably be solved with some combination of gear or horse.

THIRD NOTE: You can disable enviromental animations to re-enable picking up gear, this may help you get to a location/horse where you may be able to attempt this strategy.

I am trying this now on 2.28, having a similar problem with gladiator. I cannot get this horse knockoff animation you speak of, it seems the horses health is tied to my own health and we always both die together no matter what. Wiki says that the horses health is also just an extension of my health. Could you provide a video example of some sort of this working?

@dj_moyer: There is a specific glitch involving Combat Jump (usually if you use it as part of a combo or multiple times successively) where your character will become completely immobile and unable to attack or loot a short time after a brief period of erratic looting that saving, reloading or even exporting cannot fix. This has claimed many gladiators over the years and this is the only one way I found to fix the character provided the glitch hasn't reached the point where you can no longer move or even mount a horse to begin with.

I'm not sure if I correctly understand what the "bug" this is supposed to fix does....
But if you run into trouble where you are on a horse and it won't let you dismount to use combat skills or loot items, remember you can press "A" to auto-loot the area even while on a horse, without dismounting first. That should get you un-stuck without the inconvenience of getting killed.
