pretty sure the goat scene had been nerfed in the directors cut.

when i was little i was stuck on the goat for months. but recently when my partner played thorugh the directors cut she did it first try, no issues

I've just played this again after almost 14 years. I remembered the goat being a thing and being terrorised by it for ages before finally figuring out what needed to happen but the way the scene was laid out here in particular was not familiar to me after so long. Anyway, somehow I managed to walk straight over and trap the rope without without even thinking about it, it was my first click in that scene and the goat didn't go for George at all. I dont know if it was that subconsciously I still knew, just pure dumb luck or the game actually glitched....

When i played this as a 12 year old kid back in 1997 I was stuck in Ireland for over a year because of this goat.
