A system admin tool called Process Lasso trims your data caches (cleans up) and so allows Rimworld to operate much smoother.
Once you have Process Lasso installed, go to the Options located on top-left, then go to Memory, then click on SmartTrim Options.
From there set it to trim at 1 minute intervals and when RAM exceeds 65% and memory for program processes exceeds 3000Mb.
Then hit OK and launch Rimworld with this tool active. It works great and is completely client-side, meaning you can run it offline without issue.
Thanks for Guasco here on steam for mentioning it in RimThreaded comments.

Also 'FileSeek' will help you look for key information in your mod files directory. It's free/offline too.
Im sick of going in my nvidia controls and cap my GPU to 60 on every pc boot
This mod allows me to play rimworld again.
Upon attaching a HDMI to my laptop (RTX 2070), for ext monitor use (instead of panel), I got massive screen tearing simply panning the game map while paused. I could not go on in those conditions obviously.
I couldn't find vsync and that fixed it for other games, so I found this mod. Still was tearing, so I jacked it down to 50 Frame limit. Viola, still fast and no tearing. Thank You!
and this mod, in particular, can cause excessive screen-tearing due to what it alters, while the GPU settings keep a clean screen.
I definitely appreciate the sentiment of the mod, but it isn't necessary and in fact did harm to my eyes.
Here is a fix for the HugsLib searchbar bug

There seems to be no way to scroll to it, have to press escape to remove it.
Comes pre-set to 60fps. Go to options then select "Mod options" to change. Easy, well as everything should be so long as it works.
Thank you so much for updooting!
