it would be so cool if they made her strart with pocket item how to jump and call it something fancy like edith wings or something and like tainted one would be like this now but have 0.5 sec that you can't take damage nor shoot so like 2 edged sword

when it comes to coming up with content FOR edith, her gimmick makes it very hard to come up with actual shit like birthrights and unlocks and a tainted variant. i kinda gave up on it because it was so weird to balance and think about, so many bugs that keep rearing their ugly heads in need of squashing. it got kinda brain-numbing and tedious just thinking about her

pls dont say things like 'failed to complete x' as if its some sort of undertaking that i have to finish- it comes off kinda entitled. nobody is obligated to finish art they dont want to finish, unless theyre like idk being paid to do it. even then they can just refund it and leave.

i do not like this character, i made it because i wanted to see how close i could get to the original gameplay

edith im p sure didnt have a birthright in antibirth, so i didnt add it. all this is, is like, oh, what if i could play this character in rep? i dont like adding achievements for small characters like this because i want people to still be able to play vanilla without mods encroaching in their gameplay.

i usually make a sequel mod that acts as a sort of like pack. i do have another version of this mod uploaded, but i never finished it because i stopped modding isaac for a while. i dont even plan on finishing that mod in particular

LISTEN: As a modder who is stupid I say this:
Don't expect every modder to make big mods with characters, items, trinkets and all this other shit. Its unreal and a stupid set of expectations just because a team of people had before and they gotten big. Making a character alone is alot of work, and I admired this person went through the work. And as the modder themselves said: Their a living person too. Sometimes they just cant due to irl stuff. Keep expectations low and be humble this community is big enough to have modders/support mods.

honestly dude i feel like this mod is pretty complete. the lack of a birthright is fine as it's a fairly rare item and unlocks aren't very necessary. tainted edith is super awesome too and really creative. if you're still working on it on it that's cool and updates to any mod are nice, but don't feel pressured by others to "WORK FASTER!!!!!!"

im hoping that the revelations or fiend folio team pick up edith, because so far this dude has failed at making a full set of unlocks or a tainted version, and he stopped updating the version of the mod that does have a tainted, i personally just dont get it

for now, use rep version. im gonna patch this so it works separate from the rep version just fine and u could use both

you should disable EID, it fucks with edith for some reason. iirc wofsauge patched the weird shopkeeper things but idk!

Just got Guppy's Eye and apparently these invisible things are just spawning with a lucky penny and nickel inside of them. Must be a bug with the new update, and Edith is just able to break these weird objects.
