Description
What is Highlander?

Highlander replaces a big portion of the game's code in order to make it more moddable and mod-compatible, as well as fix a lot of bugs.

As implied by the name, only one Highlander mod can be used at a time. Hence, the Highlander tries to address as many use cases as possible. Not counting fixing bugs, the Highlander does not change the behavior of the game, it merely provides ways for other mods to do so.

Everything that goes into Highlander undergoes rigorous testing and peer review.

How do I use the Highlander?

Subscribe to the mod and enable it in your mod launcher like you would any other. You should see the Highlander's name and current version appear in the lower right corner of the game's main menu screen.

Alien Hunters DLC Plugin

If you have Alien Hunters DLC installed and enabled, and you are using this version of the Highlander, then you also should install the [WOTC] Alien Hunters Community Highlander plugin as well.

Do NOT install that plugin if you do NOT have the Alien Hunters DLC.

If you're asking whether it gives an ammo slot to all soldiers then no, this mod makes no gameplay changes, except for bugfixes.

It's a not a thing. Alternative Mod Launcher can't be incompatible with individual mods. If you're having issues using the Highlander, refer to the two Troubleshooting links in the description above.

Go through the Highlander's change logs on Github, post a new Discussion and be the change you want to see in the world.

@Zoinho1 - I was literally just wondering that myself. Going over the list of mods I've been play-testing with LWotC, I have no idea if some of them are redundant. Namely the bug-fixes (in particular Plasma Fan Fire Fix ) . I'm surprised nobody has compiled a list of mods incorporated or addressed by Community Highlander, but that may be daunting given how many mods there are for this game.
