Choose a search engine for Safari on Mac
A search engine looks across the internet for web pages, based on the words and phrases you enter in the Smart Search field. You view the pages in the Safari browser.
In the Safari app on your Mac, delete all text in the Smart Search field.
Click the magnifying glass , then choose a search engine from the list.
You can also switch search engines in the Search pane of Safari settings. See Change Search settings.
