Old Mutual Eswatini (Swaziland) has donated SZL 25,000.00 to the End Malaria Fund, aimed at assisting the National Malaria Programme in mitigating resource gaps for malaria elimination. The Honourable Minister of Health, Mduduzi Matsebula, received the cheque on behalf of the EMF. This contribution is particularly timely as the EMF has recently engaged in its resource replenishment drive. Additionally, the Minister conducted a tour of the EMF offices to extend gratitude to the Public Service Pensions Fund for generously providing office space for the EMF for the past five years. #ZeroMalariaStartsWithMe #EndMalaria #EndingMalaria2gether

#DidYouKnow that national #malaria scorecards are crucial tools for partners, including End Malaria Councils and Funds in the battle against malaria? Insights from these scorecards guide partners in advocating for and mobilizing resources toward national malaria control programs or specific areas needing intervention. In 2023, gaps identified in Eswatini's #malaria scorecard regarding treatment and indoor residual spraying (IRS) coverage prompted action from End Malaria Fund Eswatini. The fund stepped in by supporting the National Malaria Program with the purchase of antimalarials totaling $21,575 and assisting with vehicle maintenance to improve IRS coverage. These measures significantly increased IRS coverage to 93% and ensured consistent treatment for severe malaria cases. Learn more about Eswatini's malaria scorecard: https://bit.ly/48vyNf3 #endmalaria

The End Malaria Fund has launched its Border Resource Mobilization campaign where pull-up burners and donation boxes have been placed at designated ports of entry in the country. This initiative results from a successful collaboration between the Eswatini Revenue Services, the Eswatini Tourism Authority and the Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority. The Campaign was launched on December 6, 2023, at Ngwenta Border Post by the Honourable Minister of Finance, Mr. Neil Rajkenburg and on December 8, 2023, at the King Mswati III International Airport by the Minister of Health, Mr. Mduduzi Matsebula. This campaign aims to involve local and international communities in raising financial resources that will help mitigate the National Malaria Programme's resource gaps in implementing preventive and curative interventions #ZeroMalariaStartsWithMe #yourchangeforchange #EndMalaria +3 See insights and ads Boost post Like Comment Share
