The first song is a good opener that leads into a great EP. Something about that fourth track clicks with me. I find that I really enjoy the notebook look of the album art too.

There's some serious dedication to atmosphere in the mastering of this album. Percussion cranked up to high to give emphasis to a sweltering wave of bass hidden underneath, really evoking the whole summer-y feel "A DAY IN THE SHADE" is clearly going for. There's a lot more headstrong attempts at quick, successive DJ style cuts in this one as well, really drawing out the weight of certain bars as they pass on by. Listening to it always makes me look forward to chops like this on a future album.

GODSPEED is GODSENT in times of recovery and remission, when the storm subsides, time stops in a slow roll and you need to interrogate yourself can peace really exist in spaces between pain and snub- then at a later date you come to a conclusion that you can and want to perform a 100 year task and truly forgive and forget- after doing this I found out I'm alive again ;)
