Atelier Ten is excited to share that New York Associate and Benchmarking practice co-leader, Radhna Saxena has been selected to serve as an advisor on the 2025 U.S. Green Building Council Market Leadership Advisory Board and the 2025 International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) WELL Materials Advisory Board. Radhna joins a community of industry leaders who are shaping strategies for market transformation, accelerating the adoption of green building practices and driving the evolution of health and well-being. Stewart Monti will be sharing about Atelier Ten's experience leading climate adaptation and community resilience planning in projects across Australia at the Design for Disaster: Tackling Heat, Fire, Water, and Flood event at the University of Sydney, this Friday 14 March for Climate Action Week Sydney! Stewart will bring real-world examples of how we’re integrating these principles into urban design, masterplanning, and development projects. Curated by Deborah Barnstone, this event brings together leading voices in climate adaptation, urban resilience, and sustainable design to discuss how we can design cities that can withstand extreme heat, fire, floods, and storms. Last week, Atelier Ten's London team kicked off #InternationalWomensDay celebrations with a breakfast to discuss a range of topics around equality, rights and empowerment for all genders. Groups discussed steps our teams can take to challenge and eliminate gender biases in our processes and projects, how to support mothers and prospective mothers, and ways challenges faced by women in the workplace, and ways in which Atelier Ten can be a catalyst for change in our industry. We are happy to be working with Zaha Hadid Architects on the Porta Est masterplan, a large-scale urban regeneration project in Naples, Italy, following an international competition. The project, which includes the new Campania Region headquarters, aims to reconnect fragmented urban areas and revitalise a district that has long been considered isolated and unsafe due to inadequate public spaces and physical barriers. As sustainability consultants on the 30-hectare scheme, our aim is to create a walkable, climate resilient, net zero development with a biodiverse, flood-proof landscaping. The buildings will incorporate passive design features, photovoltaic and geothermal energy along with a lightweight structure and self-shading facade helping to reduce operational and embodied carbon emissions. Our proposal will target Standard Class A NZEB and LEED Platinum, while water saving features aim to reduce demand by 60%. Atelier Ten worked with MGA | Michael Green Architecture to align the project with Google's carbon reduction and #biophilic design goals, integrating cross laminated timber (CLT), greenery, daylight and views into the indoor spaces.
