The Phuket Hotels Association is a nonprofit organization comprising a broad spectrum of hotels. BRAND PHUKET Working with local government, Thai Tourism Authority and independent design companies the Phuket Hotels Association has been working towards creating Brand Phuket to highlight uniqueness of Phuket and showcase the overabundance of activities and experiences that the island has to offer. EDUCATION As an association through fundraising activities we aim to fund local Phuket residents through hospitality scholarship, so we are able to put back into the communities that we live and work in. We will hold annual events through the generosity of our members, member hotels and our partners to raise these funds. ENVIRONMENT Using the combined knowledge and resources of the Phuket Hotels Association the environmental committee is to assist member hotels and also our partners in reducing the negative impacts of tourism on the island, looking at recycling, reducing waste, and many other ways to keep Phuket amazing for now and for generations to come. ADVISORY COMMITTEE Wichit na Ranong Known to many on Phuket as the Father of Phuket Tourism, has leant his support to the Phuket Hotels Association through his extensive knowledge and contacts throughout Thailand he has been able to assist greatly in the formation of the association. Bjorn Courage As the President of the Phuket Hotels Association, and also the General Manager of InterContinental Phuket. Bill Barnett Founder of the Phuket Hotels Association, Bill Barnett brings over 30 years' experience in the Asian hospitality. Bill held senior executive roles in hotel operations, development and asset management. David Keen As CEO of QUO, David Keen is a leading innovator within the travel and hospitality industries.

Phuket Hotels Association joined the Launch of the Partnership between Paradorn Home Base Tennis Academy and Oceanic. The Phuket Hotels Association proudly attended in the MoU signing ceremony today at the Merlin Phuket Hotel โรงแรม ภูเก็ตเมอร์ลิน for the Green Hotel Plus Sandbox, Green Fin Phuket Sandbox, and Phuket Robotic for Sustainability Sandbox initiatives. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Sophon Suwannarat, Phuket Governor, and Mr. Narapat Kaewthong - from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, with insightful presentations from Mr. Bhummikitti Ruktaengam, President of the Sustainable Tourism Development Foundation, and Mr. Pran Dilokekunakul, Director of the Division Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. Representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports also joined, showcasing a strong collective commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental innovation in Phuket.
The Phuket Hotels Association recently joined the students and faculty of Phuket Rajabhat University for a special award ceremony to celebrate the newest recipients of the association’s scholarship program. Funded by the proceeds of past PHAB (Phuket Hotels Association Benefit) fundraising events, the program awarded scholarships to nine new students from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Manop Chachiyo, Vice President for Student Affairs; Dr. Sanya Chimphimon; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jiraporn Prasarnkarn, Deputy Director of Financial Affairs, Faculty of Management Science, Phuket Rajabhat University. Representing the Phuket Hotels Association were Mr. Bart Callens, Chairperson of the Education Committee; Jayne MacDougall, Executive Director; and Suliya Ritto, Administrative Manager. These scholarships will fully cover the academic tuition for the selected students, bringing the total number of scholarships awarded by the association to 93 so far. Phuket Hotels Association was proud to support the Glitter Cancer Ball, an inspiring community initiative raising funds for a new radiology treatment center at Wachira Hospital Phuket. This facility will provide local patients with essential care, reducing the need for long and difficult journeys to Hat Yai and beyond. The 08th February Ball was just one of many efforts to support this cause. If you’re able to contribute in any way, please consider getting involved! Every effort helps bring life-changing treatment closer to those who need it most. This event was hosted at the elegant Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town and organised by Phuket Tourist Association. Special congratulations to Chantal Fernandes for bringing the event together and all those who helped make a very special evening for a wonderful cause for our community.
