Saran Intakul, M.D., Deputy Director of Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, along with a team of medical experts and triathlon specialists led by Mr. Niwat Imong, Level 2 World Triathlon Certified Coach, Former ASTC Junior & Youth Coach, and Former Thai Triathlon National Team Coach, together with Akanis Srisukwattana, M.D., Sports Cardiologist at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, Mr. Arnusan Paojinda, Bike Fitter from Jumm’s Bike Studio, and Ms. Petchnapa Ongtrakulkij, Dietitian at Therapeutic Nutrition Department, Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, provided valuable knowledge to doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, medical personnel and interested participants. The training workshop focused on equipping participants with the essential knowledge and skills to safely prepare for and participate in triathlons, following the guidelines of World Triathlon. Topics covered included time management and endurance, goal setting and determination, injury prevention, understanding heart rate and exercise zones, and health and nutrition management. Additionally, there were practical sessions in swimming, cycling and running. The event highlights Samitivej as a leading proponent of sports medicine at the national level, and emphasizes the importance of providing care for professional and amateur athletes as well as sports and exercise enthusiasts.
