We had a fantastic evening celebrating RENASYS EDGE winning the Red Dot Award for Design Concept 2024 in the Medical Devices and Technology Category. The Red Dot awards commend new innovations and groundbreaking designs. EDGE’s patient-centric concept was recognized for its combination of a discreet, comfortable design, enabling patients to continue with their daily lives while receiving prescribed negative pressure wound therapy. Smith+Nephew London Academy plays host to over 120 students and teachers! Last week, our site in Croxley (UK) held its annual STEM Careers Conference, in support of charity, Migrant Leaders. The conference aimed to broaden the students’ awareness of the range of exciting opportunities available in a STEM-based industry with: 💡 a tour of our medical education facility 💡 a ‘meet and greet’ with Smith+Nephew team members from a range of departments 💡 the chance to try out some instruments Migrant Leaders matches migrant students with mentors for guidance and career advice. Making a difference matters. All our employees have 8 hours of paid volunteering leave to donate to a cause that connects with them. In the spirit of helping others live a #LifeUnlimited, over 50 members of the Smith+Nephew team in Oklahoma City took part in the Spina Bifida Association’s annual Walk-N-Roll this past weekend. The event raises money in aid of local community programmes to help individuals affected by Spina Bifida, as well as funding national research, advocacy and education. Our team stepped up to a sponsored walk, contributing to a donation of over $5,000 for the charity.
