The EU AI Act recently entered into force! 🚀 ChatGPT and other systems have created a recent boom in AI. But AI, in form of computer vision or neural networks, has been used in many areas for a while. With the AI Act, Europe has now come up with some rules for artificial intelligence to protect citizens and their rights. 📑 In a risk-based approach, the impact of the regulation ranges from no obligations for “minimal risk” AI to complete prohibitions for “inacceptable risk”. For “limited risk” AI, there are transparency obligations, while AI seen as “high-risk” such as in HR-systems, critical infrastructure or medicine, must meet clear requirements to prove its trustworthiness. Private use of AI comes with no obligations. 💡 How do I know, which risk class my AI system with falls into?
