Last week, I played a participatory foresight game with participants at the Corporate Innovation Summit where we debated and created a desirable city through policy-making. I learnt that if we make the space for joy, then innovation can be fun! I appreciated how the participants readily and seriously jumped into the make-believe world of Arcadia and ended up giving very constructive feedback on the game. Karen Leo Chalida Chouriyagul Warote B. @Samita and others I probably lost to the voids of LinkedIn connections 😅 Special thanks to my collaborator who worked on the game while on the hunt for insights in foreign lands, Yuri Zaitsev of YZ Design Works - look, we made a thing! This project wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Office of Justice Innovation at Thailand Institute of Justice who saw the potential of foresight for social betterment, who allowed us to experiment with the game play format, and who financed us with money, time, and love. Had a really great time at the Corporate Innovation Summit/CIS 2024 - Asia’s largest experiential conference - last week in Bangkok-Thailand 🇹🇭 , talking about how to responsibly incorporate AI into Strategic Foresight practices, and also workshopping on how Foresight Leadership will be crucial to lead organisations, teams and oneself in our current changing sociocultural and economical landscape. I am truly inspired by how vibrant and exciting the whole innovation landscape in South East Asia is at the moment, and how so many brilliant people are pushing for building a more sustainable and flourishing future from that part of the world. It was really a privilege being able to meet and connect with so many talented professionals with such drive and determination. It is really refreshing and inspiring! Big couple of days last week at the annual Corporate Innovation Summit, put on flawlessly in Bangkok by Dr. Supachai Kid Parchariyanon and his team at RISE - Corporate Innovation Powerhouse on September 25th and 26th. First, I premiered my brand new workshop "Values-Based Decision Making for Leaders" on Thursday morning. 6 months in the making, I was super excited to deliver this interactive 90-minute session to 25+ professionals from around Asia. They were interested, interacted extensively with one another and worked pretty hard as well. A great start to my new offering... I then ran across the conference venue at True Digital Park to be a part of an exciting panel on  "AI-Driven Digital Transformation: Leading the Charge in Organizational Change", which discussed the transformative impact of AI on businesses in Thailand, Asia and around the world. Moderated by Ranchana P., Corporate Innovation Planner at RISE, the 45-minute panel discussion flew by, as I got to engage with such experts as: - Pavel Veselovskiy, Enterprise Innovation Strategy Expert - Pinaki Bhowmick, Founder, DX&Beyond - Tarit Nimmanwudipong, General Manager, True Digital Park - Rico Camus, Academic Program Director, Master in Innovation and Business, Asian Institute of Management (who is also my old buddy from the early, early days of mobile gaming) Also got to meet with many old friends and colleagues, while also meeting a slew of new contacts at the show and welcoming events. Thanks to Supachai Kid Parchariyanon, Pemika Boontaveekit, Ranchana P., Rathiya Jinn Issarachaikul and everybody else at RISE who helped make this conference rock.
