Kareena Kapoor Khan questions why do male stars not have 'comebacks' and only female stars do: 'I'm married and have two children but so..?'
Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in 'Crew' which did significantly well at the box office. It was a breath of fresh air for the industry where films at the theatres were not doing that well. This came as a surprise as this female-led movie, brought in those numbers. Kareena perhaps feels she is at the best phase of her career because she is getting to do a great variety of work, even as she made her OTT debut last year.

In a recent interview, the actress revealed she doesn't feel any less than her male counterparts.
Infact, Kareena slams some sexist comments towards actresses like the word 'comeback' used for them after they are married and have children. Kareena said in an interview with 'The Week', "I have to agree it is a rarity in this industry. Today I don’t feel any less than my male counterparts. What does ‘comeback’ mean? Male stars don’t have comebacks, why do only female stars do? I am married and have two children but so do a lot of male actors in the industry."
She further said that she's finally taken seriously as an actor at the age of 44 and she was always just stereotyped as Poo or Geet. Kareena said, "My acting was always outshone by a Poo or a Geet. The actor in me has never been taken seriously. I feel people are discovering me as an artiste now. At nearly 44, I can also give a huge blockbuster. And there is a lot more where that comes from.”
Kareena will be seen next in Hansal Mehta's 'The Buckingham Murders' and Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again', both being completely opposite of each other.
