Rajkummar Rao calls wife Patralekhaa his 'most honest critic'

Rajkummar Rao is all set to present his highly anticipated film 'Stree 2', to fans next weekend. As the film nears its release, the actor shared his thoughts on receiving criticism from the audience and friends.
Highlighting the value of constructive criticism and honest feedback, he shared, that rather than receiving just praise, he appreciated his wife, Patralekhaa for being his "most honest critic."
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rajkummar emphasised the importance of having people around who offer both praise and constructive criticism.He believes that such feedback is crucial for personal and professional growth as an actor and artist.
The actor stressed that honest criticism is crucial for growth, asserting that an artist's development suffers when surrounded only by "yes men."
Discussing Patralekhaa's candid feedback, the actor revealed that she directly tells him if she doesn’t like a film or performance, which he believes is crucial for his growth as an artist. Rao emphasised that constructive criticism is essential for development, stating that if people only hear praise and are surrounded by backscratchers saying "this is the best thing you've ever done," there is no opportunity for growth, and without growth, art cannot truly thrive.
'Stree 2', directed by Amar Kaushik, will be released on August 15. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurrana also appearing. Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan will be seen in cameo appearances.
