Kangana Ranaut, who is all set to don the garb of a director in 'Emergency' is known to speak her mind, including being open about not being friends with anyone in the industry. In 2009,
Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan made a rare joint appearance on Farah Khan’s chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein. Recently, a clip from that interview has resurfaced on Reddit, where Kangana discusses being told she didn't resemble actresses Rani Mukerji or Preity Zinta.
Kangana Ranaut in the video, says, “Main auditions ke liye jaati thi toh mujhe kehte the ki ‘Tumhare baal curly kyun hai? Rani Mukerji ke baal dekho, bilkul curly nahi hai’ (When I would go for auditions, I was asked why do I have curly hair, unlike Rani, who does not have curly hair).
Phir maine socha baal straight kara lete hai, toh phir uske baad kehte the ki ‘Tumhe dimple kyun nahi hai, Preity Zinta ko dimple hai’ (Then I thought perhaps I should get my hair straightened. But then I was told that I do not have dimples like Preity). So, I realised that basically – you cannot be somebody else.”
Earlier, Kangana hit the headlines on Monday when she posted a clip from an interview in which she suggested that a "Bangladesh-like situation" could have occurred in India. She also alleged that "bodies were hanging and rapes were taking place" during the farmers' protest against the now-repealed three farm laws, further claiming that China and the US were involved in a "conspiracy."
Her statements sparked political backlash with many demanding an apology.

However, it wasn't too long ago when the actress addressed misconceptions about her public persona and shared her thoughts about making bold statements. In a conversation on Raj Shamani's podcast, Kangana stated that she stands by all her past statements, asserting that she has never said anything untrue or regretted any of her remarks
The actress began by stating that she doesn’t believe she is 'misunderstood', but rather 'feared' by those who have been dishonest or unjust. "People who are dishonest, who have wronged others, who are unjust, they see me and they are so scared of me, they fear me," she said.
Addressing whether she regrets any of her past statements, Kangana responded, "If my statements are so absurd, can you come up with even one where... no, never, I have never said anything which is not true. I've never ever picked up a fight with anybody, but if I'm messed with, I'm the one to put an end to a fight, that I make sure. But I've never started a fight.
On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party publicly distanced itself from Kangana's controversial remarks regarding the farmers' agitation. The party, which she represents as a Lok Sabha MP from Mandi, expressed strong disagreement with her comments and clarified that she is neither permitted nor authorised to speak on the party's policy matters.
