Vicky Kaushal, who is basking in the success of recently-released film ‘Bad Newz’, once disclosed that he experienced sleep paralysis quite a few times. He called the feeling "damn scary." He also talked about the times he got scared during an interactive session with fans on Instagram.

The actor also called himself "the biggest fattu" when it comes to horror movies and literature. When a fan inquired as to whether he was afraid of ghosts, he answered, “I’m the biggest fattu in the world when it comes to horror films or stories! “
When asked if he was afraid while filming ‘Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship’, Vicky responded, “Quite difficult to not feel scared after hearing that!” Additionally, he uploaded a video showing Vicky getting ready for an underwater shoot while the actor is told by the trainer, “There will be a few moments where you are gonna feel you’re gonna die.”
In an old interview in 2020, the actor also talked about his own fears regarding horror stories. He said, “I was never a ‘horror-film friendly’ actor before doing Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. I was someone who would step out of the room if a horror movie was on. However, with this film, I was able to overcome my fear.”
Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, ‘Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship’ featured Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. It also starred Bhumi Pednekar, Inayah Chowdhry, Akash Dhar, Ashutosh Rana, Siddhanth Kapoor, Meher Vij and Priya Chauhan in significant roles. The film didn’t fare well with the audience or the critics and received negative reviews. It earned only Rs 40.94 crore at the box office.
