Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Narivetta’ begins filming

Mollywood film ‘Narivetta,’ starring Tovino Thomas, has officially started filming. Directed by Anuraj Manohar, known for his work on ‘Ishq,’ this upcoming political thriller promises to deliver intense drama and a gripping storyline.

The production kicked off with a traditional pooja function attended by Tovino Thomas and the rest of the crew. Tovino, who has continually impressed audiences with his versatile performances, will portray a police constable named Varghese in the film.

Adding to the excitement, celebrated Tamil actor Cheran announced his debut in Malayalam cinema with ‘Narivetta.’ Cheran took to Twitter to share his enthusiasm, posting the film's poster and expressing his long-held dream of working in the Malayalam film industry.His tweet, originally in Malayalam, conveyed his excitement: "Hello friends! I am thrilled to share that a long-time dream of mine has finally come true. I am starring in a Malayalam movie alongside the incredible Tovino Thomas, under the direction of Anuraj Manohar, known for 'Ishq.' As always, I am counting on your support and love. Thank you!"
The poster, unveiled on July 22, 2024, depicts a dramatic scene of a burning hut, with flames spreading to nearby structures. The aerial shot also reveals numerous people walking away from the chaos, hinting at the film's intense and politically charged plot.
In addition to Tovino Thomas and Cheran, ‘Narivetta’ boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Priyamvada Krishnan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Arya Salim, and others. The script, penned by Abin Joseph, is expected to be a hard-hitting narrative.
