ETimes rated ‘Ullozhukku’ 3.5 out of 5, and the review reads, “In how many ways can Urvashi show sorrow? The actress shows her tremendous range, ability to carry a film and screen presence in a story where she is largely required to be a grieving mother. It seems to be a while since Malayalam has had a film driven by such emotional turbulence. It reminds one of ‘80s and ‘90s films directed and written by greats like Padmarajan, Bharathan, Adoor Gopalakrishnan and MT. Ullokuzhukku is definitely a theatre movie, with a story that will leave you stirred and wiping away tears at the end.”

On the other hand, Parvathy's previous outing in Mollywood was with the Mammootty starrer 'Puzhu' which received good reviews from the audiences. The actresss also played a pivotal role in the Anjali Menon's directorial 'Wonder Woman' which received mediocre reviews.
Meanwhile, Christo Tomy's documentary series 'Curry & Cyanide' also received good reviews from the audiences. The series was based on a real life murder case.
