Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for his next film with director
Mani Ratnam. The movie 'Thug Life' marks their collaboration after 37 years, and it is one of the most anticipated projects of the year. The new buzz is that the film is completed halfway, and the makers are planning to release the film in the later half of the year. The speculation is that the movie will be out by November 2024.
South First reported that the film has completed 75% of the shooting schedule and will be wrapped up by August.
However, the film's producer, Shiva Anant, stated earlier that they are not sure about the film's wrap-up time and said that they will share the official announcement when it is complete. But he did not give any hint on the movie release date as of yet.
'Thug Life' is an epic period drama starring Kamal Haasan, Simbu,
Ashok Selvan, Trisha, Abhirami, Nassar,
Joju George, Gautham Karthik, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and
Sanya Malhotra, among others. The music for it is composed by AR Rahman. The lead is played by Kamal Haasan in the role of Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakar. The makers already shared the promo a couple of months ago, and with the film's release expected at the end of the year, it is likely that the movie's trailer will be out on November 7, marking Kamal Haasan's birthday.
