Natalie Winters, the 23-year-old US journalist and co-host of Steve Bannon's influential podcast, War Room, has been making headlines lately. It all started when the journalist shared a glimpse of her first day as a White House correspondent, covering President
Donald Trump's administration.
On her first day as a White House correspondent, Winters shared a series of photos. She captioned it "officially a white house correspondent." Initially, she was attacked by the netizens for a misspelling. She brushed it off in a rather humorous way. In her X post, Winters wrote, “War Room White House Cor(r)espondent.”
However, shortly, the target shifted from misspell to her choice of clothes. Natalie Winters wore a white skirt paired with a collared black sweater. A few netizens felt that her outfit was 'too casual' for the
White House. Some even asked her to 'dress the part'.
During her debut as a White House correspondent, Winters did not hold back on her bold criticisms of established journalists. Reporting outside the White House, she spoke about the hostility she received from media colleagues. “I’m getting nasty stares as I’m calling out my new evil ‘America Last, America hATING’ colleagues,” she said.
She also took a dig at legacy press members, and said, “They sit there and think they’re superior because they have their reserved seats. Where do you derive your superiority from? It’s certainly not audience size or impact because you failed to sway the American people continuously through elections.”
Natalie Winters’ reaction Natalie Winters slammed netizens who made distasteful comments on her choice of clothes. She also criticized the Daily Mail for making a story out of the hate comments.
In a post shared on X, Winters said, “Excuse me? A few deranged haters comment that they didn’t like my *sweater* and this becomes a story? c, and you didn’t even ask for comment.”
She also stated that she has broken more stories than ‘mainstream reporters’. “Last time I checked, at 23 I’ve broken more stories than most mainstream reporters (that you all tried to censor and actively suppress by smearing as misinformation.) All while graduating from UChicago in three years. The War Room audience is the most powerful in media history - just look at the election results. Or ask Kevin McCarthy. Or Peter Daszak. Or (preemptively pardoned) Anthony Fauci.”
She further said, “Sorry your viewership is sinking and your audience has no power. It’s very clear that your misinformation attacks FAILED so now you’re pivoting by trying to depict me as some dumb, vapid bimbo. Good luck with that. I know the left loves transgenderism, obesity, and ugly people, but you should pick someone else to attack.”
In another post, the journalist said, “Getting attacked by journalists for being hot? We are so back.”

Meanwhile, Winters has previously declared herself as a 'transphobic' according to the Daily Mail. She was also accused of being Islamaphobic for her remarks on Piers Morgan Uncensored. On the other hand, despite the criticism, Winters is also receiving support from many netizens. "Your sweater is hot. Carry on," one X user said. Another wrote, "Not that you should care what anyone thinks, but I actually like the sweater." One user commented, "They just don't know how to spell "style icon." And they are jealous because the work that you and others in the conservative media do is making them increasingly irrelevant.
Born in Los Angeles, California, USA, Natalie Winters is also a writer and producer. She is best known for War Room: Battleground (2023). Natalie is also a pet lover and is often seen posing with her pooch on her Instagram feed.
