State government working for welfare of poor by following path shown by saints, great men: Haryana CM

AMBALA: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government is continuously moving forward by following the path shown by saints and great men and is working for the welfare of the poor. The government has started the Sant-Mahapurusha Samman and Vichar Prachar-Prasar Yojana in Haryana, under which the initiative has been taken to celebrate the birth anniversaries and centenaries of saints and great men on government lines.
CM Saini was addressing the devotees as the chief guest in a religious conference organized on the 21st foundation day of Shri Guru Ravidas Dharm Asthan Sirasgarh and the 15th martyrdom day of Saint Ramanand in Ambala district on Wednesday.
Haryana transport minister Aseem Goel was also present with the CM on this occasion. The CM announced to give an amount of Rs 21 lakh to Dharm Asthan Sirasgarh and minister Goel an amount of Rs 11 lakh.
On this occasion, Haryana urban local bodies minister Subhash Sudha, Ambala DC Parth Gupta were also present.
Meanwhile, CM Nayab Saini, Goel and Sudha also visited the house of Naik Gurpreet Singh, who got martyred recently in Ladakh region to pay tributes and offer their condolences to the family.
On the other side, Haryana sports minister Sanjay Singh on Wednesday visited the residence of shooting player Sarabjot Singh in Dheen village in Ambala to congratulate and honour his family.
Minister Sanjay Singh said that as per the sports policy, work will be done to give an amount of Rs 2.50 crore to Sarabjot Singh and to give him a job.
The minister also made Sarabjot’s father talk to Haryana CM Nayab Saini over a phone call, who also congratulated them.
