Video: Woman on bike harassed, groped by mob on flooded road in Lucknow

NEW DELHI: A woman riding pillion on a bike was harassed by a group of men on a flooded road in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, a viral video showed.
The video, shared by news agency IANS, showed a man and a woman trying to cross a waterlogged road under the Taj Hotel Bridge in Lucknow. In the horror show, a group of men, standing in knee-deep water, continuously kept splashing water on the riders.

A man was also seen groping the woman as she tried to protest herself.
As the biker tried to hurriedly cross the group, a few men tried to pull the two-wheeler from the back which led to the duo falling on the road.
A man was later seen assisting the woman in getting up.
The crowd was finally stopped by the police, according to IANS.
In response to the video, the Lucknow Police on X said that the cops are trying to identify the accused on the basis of CCTV footage.

"The Gomti Nagar police station immediately reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. On the basis of CCTV footage, the people creating chaos have been identified and action is being taken against them. At present, the situation is peaceful," it said.
