So much speculation revolved around the Washington Commanders and their rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels, and look what the result turned out to be. The Philadelphia Eagles set a unique record in the playoffs, breaking a 10-year-long mark! All this while quarterback Jalen Hurts of the Eagles kept quiet. He was dealing with his knee injury, but the wounded knight was preparing himself against the Washington Commanders, who were on a deadly streak!
Beating the Washington Commanders in the NFL Conference Championship was way too personal for the Philadelphia Eagles. They scored 55-23 against the Washington Commanders on their home ground, Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles have surpassed the score of Carolina Panthers who scored 49-15 in the 2015 NFL Conference Championship against the Arizona Cardinals.
Ari Meirov, the host of NFL Spotlight, shared about this unique score record of the Eagles over his X platform
The NFL Insider wrote,
“The #Eagles now have scored the most points in a Conference Championship game in NFL history, surpassing the 49 points Carolina scored with Cam Newton in 2015.”, and shared victory pictures of Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Eagles’ 10th victory at the home turf, Lincoln Financial Field
By winning against the Washington Commanders, the Philadelphia Eagles also set another record! Quarterback Jalen Hurts is a real hidden gem (he was quietly practicing his own game all the while ignoring all the rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' mayhem!). The Eagles won against the Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field, this was the 10th successive victory - the most in an NFL season and the longest streak when including playoffs (-via the official website of Philadelphia Eagles).
Jalen Hurts leads his team into the Super Bowl LIX! Looks like, history is going to repeat itself! Remember the Super Bowl LVII against the Kansas City Chiefs?
The Super Bowl LVII was where the Philadelphia Eagles faced the Kansas City Chiefs. And guess what? Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles with a tough score of 38-35 (anything could have happened! Even the Eagles could have won.). But, but, but. History loves repeating itself! And, look where the star quarterback’s Eagles are now. Yet again, standing tall against the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl LIX! It would be a real treat to watch the Chiefs being defeated. Won’t it, Eagles fans?
