Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced today its partnership with Global Esports for seasons 11 and 12 of ROG Academy, offering professional Valorant training to aspiring esports athletes in India. The program will provide five selected players with a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 and a five-day boot camp in Mumbai.
Registrations open January 28th for a seven-day period, during which players will undergo tests, scrimmages, and interviews to assess their capabilities. Successful candidates will receive six months of professional training, access to ROG gaming equipment, and opportunities to participate in Tier-1 scrimmages.
"As we step into 2025, the evolution of Esports is more apparent than ever," said Arnold Su, Vice President of Consumer and Gaming PC at Asus India. "We are thrilled to continue this legacy with Season 11 and 12 in partnership with Global Esports."
The program will feature biannual workshops for both players and parents, aiming to promote holistic development and address misconceptions about the gaming industry. Players will train using ROG Strix laptops, gaming mice, headphones, and Asus ROG monitors.
Global Esports, known for its success in titles like CS:GO, DOTA 2, and Valorant, will oversee the selection process and training. "Together, we will be scouting, training and building the next generation of superstar VALORANT Esports athletes coming out of India," said Dr. Rushindra Sinha, Founder & CEO of Global Esports.
ROG Academy has previously trained 54 players across ten seasons, with over 15,000 registrations. More than 15 graduates have secured positions with top-tier organizations, and last season's participants competed in major tournaments including the ESL Challenger Jonkoping - Asia Qualifier.
