Google is bringing its Dark Web reports to all users
Google is making its "Dark Web reports" feature available to all Google Account holders starting late July 2024, expanding access beyond current Google One subscribers.
The announcement, first reported by 9to5Google, was revealed through a pop-up banner in the Google One application, stating that the feature "will no longer be available in Google One in late July."
Instead of being limited to the Google One subscription, Dark Web reports will be integrated into the "Results about you" section, creating a comprehensive solution for users to monitor and protect their online presence.

"Dark web report will become available to all users with a consumer Google Account," Google stated. "Dark web report is integrated with Results about you as a combined solution to help users protect their online presence."
Currently available in 46 countries, Dark Web reports allow users to set up profiles that monitor the dark web for personal data breaches and leaks. The feature scans for sensitive information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
The "Results about you" feature, which allows users to find and request removal of search results containing their personal information, will now work along with Dark Web reports.

"Starting late July 2024, dark web report will no longer require a Google One membership. All users signed into their Google Accounts can use the feature as it's made available along with Results about you," Google confirmed.
While the exact rollout date remains unspecified beyond "late July," this move signifies Google's commitment to expanding privacy protection tools to a broader user base.
