Standup comedian's roast on Zomato's 16th anniversary: Blinkit CEO gets call out and more

Zomato recently celebrated its 16th birth anniversary. The food delivery app organized a roast for its staffers on the occasion. Among the audience were Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa.
A video shared by standup comedian Swati Sachdeva on her Instagram is circulating on social media where she can be seen roasting Zomato for the recent hike in platform fees, rain charges and more.
The video starts with the comedian starting her piece by thanking Zomato and Goyal for the stage and quickly taking a dig at the company’s platform fees. She said “Thank you Zomato, thank you Deepinder for providing us this stage tonight. Bas ab mujhe is baat ka darr hain, iski bhi platform fee no katlo,”.
She then make fun of the company’s rainy weather surge. “Inka product manager na top floor pe bhaagta hua jata hain, ki baadal aagaye chalo bhai baarish ka surge laga du,” she said.

The video is captioned “Delivered a roast to @zomato, handling charge lete hai toh handle kar hi lenge.”
It continues with Sachdeva singling out Blinkit’s Albinder Dhindsa by expressing confusion over handling charge, saying: “Albinder hain kaha aap? Blinkit mujhe samaj nahi aata. Delivery jab banda koi kar raha hain.. toh pakdaye ga na wo khaana...toh handling (fee?) kaise matlab?”
Both Goyal and Dhindsa can be seen in good spirits, sportingly taking the roast. Gaurav Kapoor, Shreeja Chaturvedi and Samay Raina were other comedians invited to the roast.
Sachdeva also took a dig at Zomato's branded tape on all food orders saying, “Tum log apne phate hue note pe phi zomato ki tape lagate ho na?”
