Lokesh Batta, who is seen as Gaurav Khanna in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Badall Pe Paon Hai, says he was immediately drawn to the character. “It was because of his unique blend of humor and vulnerability. It was like a wonderful opportunity for me to explore and portray this multifaceted individual.”
“One of the primary challenges that I faced while portraying the character was understanding his depth and complexity.
To portray his ambition and determination authentically, I had to think deep into his backstory, motivations, etc.,” he added.
Badall Pe Paon Hai centers around a young woman who is super ambitious and determined to achieve her dreams. He said, “I believe that stories like this can be incredibly empowering and inspirational, especially for young women. Bani is not selfish; in fact, she aspires to achieve great things regardless of the barriers they might face.”
Lokesh is all praise for the producers, Ravie and Sargun, and said, “They are exceptional leaders, to be honest. Working with them is an absolute privilege. They both encourage creativity, and they have always appreciated my work. They also come and tell you directly, which is so motivating, like ‘bhai vo scene toh bohot acha kiya tune’.”
He felt an instant connection with his co-actors. He said, “We support each other on and off the set. It’s a very warm environment.”
He is happy to be shooting in Punjab and shared that it has been an incredible homecoming experience for him. “Being from Punjab, it’s like a beautiful blend of work and personal life. Punjab’s rich cultural heritage has always been a source of pride for me,” Lokesh ended.
