Healing post second delivery

During my pregnancy with Divisha, I did not put on that much weight because I was still working out. But after the delivery, because it was a C-section delivery, my body faced a huge setback. Even doctors don't advise you to work out for three months. So obviously that three months was almost kind of completely healing myself. Don't just sit and lie down in one place. I remember 3 days into delivery, I had done my first work, like it was an event. Now when I look at the photos, I feel like I was so bloated, I felt like there was a lot of water weight after delivery. That kind of motivated me to work and that made me happy that I am getting work. If I am working, I will get work. If I tell myself that I don't want to work and I'm sitting at home, I will stop getting work.

Mindful eating

Mindful eating

We must know what we are supposed to eat and what we are not supposed to eat. Definitely, the junk food which we clearly know what it is, if we totally eliminate it, our journey becomes easy for us. We should incorporate fruits, good proteins in our diet and normal home cooked food.

Starting off with free hand exercises

Starting off with free hand exercises

I will say that do exercises that make you feel good. I think I started with free hand exercises. Plain body, crawling on the floor. I started with light workouts. That gave a lot of mobility to my body. When I felt after six months that I am kind of healed from inside because by moving and shaking you can understand that everything is almost fine inside.

Growing her endurance with cardio

Growing her endurance with cardio

After 6 months I started cardio. Cardio kind of helped me regain my endurance. Interestingly, after pregnancy I used to feel that I used to go half in some things. So cardio actually helped me grow my endurance. So I did that for 3 months when I did sprinting. According to me, it was sprinting, but when I look at it visually, it was a little slower than running. I gave my 100% in my own way. You do not have a competition. Your competition is you in your own head.

Her journey with Pilates

Her journey with Pilates

I started Pilates. Pilates is a form of workout where it's a weight training but you do it with your own body weight. Pilates saves you from injuries because you do all those exercises lying down, you tone your legs, you tone your abs, you tone your hands but there is no jumping movement involved. You don't even need to put weight on your shoulder. Pilates for a good 3-4 months helped me tighten up my core and gave me a lot of strength.

How aerial yoga helped her

How aerial yoga helped her

Then I joined aerial yoga because I had seen lots of videos where a lot of celebs were thin after doing aerial yoga. So I thought, you know, that would be something interesting and I tried. Initially, it was definitely very difficult. Again, it involves a lot of core. You are pulling yourself out of your core strength. As a new mom, you have to make a lot of adjustments.

Being regular and consistent

Being regular and consistent

You know, at home, sometimes you don't sleep, there are a thousand things you are thinking. So I was not getting a consistency. So I was doing it for 3-4 months, after that I was losing it. So getting back to it again, I didn't get that push and I thought I would try something else. Because I thought if there is a newness, then I will get a newfound energy to do that. 3-4 months I did it with full attention, I did it with a lot of regularity. I did aerial yoga and after a few days time, I saw a lot of difference in my body. My body crossed that barrier and I started losing weight. If you see my journey of aerial yoga, during that time I lost weight very quickly. My strength increased a lot.

Taking up a sport

Taking up a sport

Doing aerial yoga, my spinal cord was stretched so well, the body was so well, you know, it was bent, it was pulled, whatever happened, any kind of pain from the body vanished totally. Then I started my real fitness journey which is weightlifting. Workout is a great mixture of weight training and cardio. In weight training, we should give 70% importance and 30% to cardio. I started doing weight training very regularly. I started doing weight training for 3 days a week. And in cardio, I started playing a sport, Tennis. Strength training is very important. Please do some strength training if you do not have access to the gym.

Her weightloss journey from 75 kg to 65 kg

Her weightloss journey from 75 kg to 65 kg

I started from the weight 75 and right now I am something around 65. Hopefully, I will reach my 55 weight goal. But I'm not paying much attention to weight. Actually, I'm paying more attention to inches. After Divisha was born, I bought 44 size jeans. After a few days, I bought a 42 size. Then I came down to 40 size. And now I'm 38, which is like a perfect medium size. So I'm really happy that the inches are decreasing. Initially, I used to wake up every morning and stand on the weighing scale. And every day I used to see that my weight almost did not decrease. So I used to be motivated, I used to do everything. But somewhere in my mind, a body gets demotivated. One day I picked up the weighing scale, packed it and put it on the cupboard. I took it out the day before yesterday. And I saw such a big difference. And also very important thing is if you want to lose weight, 70% is diet and 30% is workout.

Overcoming all the roadblocks

Overcoming all the roadblocks

I am a mother to two beautiful daughters. I am talking about my post pregnancy body, how I am getting back to shape. I will say that I am 50% or maybe 75% towards where I was. Not 100%, 25% is left. But yes, I have started seeing great results. You know, roadblocks come. As soon as you overcome the roadblock and your journey starts, you know that you are on the right track.
