Designed by Victor Scheinman, PUMA’s precise and versatile capabilities enabled its widespread use in welding, painting, and assembly line operations. The PUMA 560 model became particularly prominent, not only in industry but also in medicine, where it was used for the first robotic stereotactic brain biopsy in 1985. Today, the original PUMA prototype is preserved in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, reflecting its lasting impact on robotic technology. Acrome, uzmanlık alanlarımız olan otomasyon, kontrol, robotik ve mekatroniğin kısaltmalarını barındıran ismiyle 2013 yılında kurulmuştur. Kurulduğumuz günden bu yana akademide ve Ar-Ge alanında kullanılmak üzere robotik-mekatronik sistem tasarımı ve kontrol çözümleri sunuyoruz. Ürünlerimiz ile üniversitelerin mühendislik laboratuvarlarında öğrencilerin robotik konusunda uygulamalı deneyim kazanmaları için basit ama yenilikçi platformlar sunarken, öğretim görevlilerine de sınıfı yönetmeleri için araçlar sağlıyoruz. Çok çeşitli alanlarda Ar-Ge çalışmaları geliştiren firmalarda ise ürünlerimiz ile kontrol ve otomasyon alanında çalışacak ürünlerin geliştirilmesinde, kalibrasyon çalışmalarında, komponentlerin test edilmesinde, hareket simülasyonlarında ve daha bir çok farklı çalışmada katma değer sağlıyoruz.

Boğaziçi University's Institute of Biomedical Engineering is incorporating Acrome’s technology into their Introduction to Robotics course. Following a successful workshop featuring Acrome's products, the Acrome SMD EDU Kit will further improve this year's course. Over 6 weeks, students will explore essential robotics topics such as sensor and motor integration, manipulative and mobile robots, AI-driven navigation, and key mobile navigation techniques including random walking, dead-reckoning, and cue-based navigation. The hands-on lab work will help students develop the practical skills required for real-world robotics applications.
