Seafarers don’t wear capes—they save lives! 🦺 On January 21, 2025, our oil chemical tanker Aland was sailing near Cabo de São Vicente, Portugal, when the crew received a distress call from MRCC Lisboa. A fishing boat had been drifting for six days, with six passengers stranded at sea after running out of fuel. Despite strong winds and high waves, our crew acted quickly and safely rescued all six people. Onboard, they were given first aid, warm clothes, food, and blankets. Later, with the help of MRCC Lisboa, they were transferred to a rescue boat near Sagres, Portugal. We’re incredibly proud of our crew for their actions in such a critical moment.
