The positioning method involves CGI-TA, E-CGI for 2G, CID, ECID for 4G, and evolving methods for 5G networks. The MPP comprises two key components: Defne Mobile Positioning Gateway (DMPG) and Defne Mobile Positioning Server (DMPS). DMPG serves as a gateway directing requests within the core network, housing functions like GMLC, SLP, LRF, and RDF. Meanwhile, DMPS calculates locations, encompassing modules such as SMLC, SAS, E-SMLC, and LMF. The communication framework involves MLP using various protocols like XML over HTTP, MAP over SIGTRAN, Diameter, SCTP/IP, and SNMP/FTP/SFTP interfaces, depending on network types and nodes involved. DMPS interfaces directly with BSC, RNC, MME, and NMS/OSS, ensuring smooth data exchange and crucial information transmission to facilitate accurate location estimates. The traffic flow within the platform involves an orchestrated sequence of interactions initiated by the LCS Client, routing through DMPG, HLR, MSC, RNC, and finally culminating in the delivery of precise location coordinates to the LCS Client.
