Great Idea BUT HOW? 🤔 'Every Teen Should Have a Learner-Development Coach' One of our projects has the aim to ensure that every young person has someone in their lives who can be a guide in developing as a learner for life. There are thousands of people out there telling us what we should have - but not necessarily 'how' and even then 'how can YOU do it'. So, we have four ways of doing this: 1. Save teenagers (OK, kids from 7-21 welcome!) by accepting them on our coaching programme. 2. Coach teachers and other educators to use our approaches in their classes, during activities, and with home assignments. 3. Coach parents and guardians to use our approaches at home helping with engagement, development and keeping that special relationship! 4. Coaching coaches - there are so many underpaid teachers fed up with school, parents angry at the system enough or want to help more than just their own kids - and people who just like the idea of being a learner-development coach - so we will be offering them the chance for this. WAIT A MINUTE! Not everyone can afford courses! Well, we have free membership to our LinkedIn group Developing Real Learners where we have started our 'Learner Literacy Series' (more to come). And we have high-quality courses - the sort that are usually quite expensive - going from just US$15 And then there are local projects where we are achieving our aims in different ways depending on the situation - in orphanages, refugee camps, in financially broken communities. We'll get there - but we need your support. Sign up for a course, show an interest, and donate for someone else to join. My favourite consequences of our work: > Engaging young people in realising their current potential > Raising levels of active wisdom in communities > Seeing teachers reengage in education at school or as coaches We can transform education but we all need to make a difference.
Hakkımızda
Developing Real Learners (DRL) is a non-profit hybrid set on transforming education globally. DRL aims to help young people transform themselves into learners for happiness and success in life (including school). We do this through helping school leaders create learning communities, and educators and young people adapt their current approach towards education. This approach usually focuses on developing the learner within the current system they find themselves We create materials, presentations, workshops, review curricula, coach groups or individuals, etc to help educators, parents, board members and young people themselves to refocus what they do towards one vision - helping young people develop into the best learners they can be. We support all schools in achieving this vision whether amply or barely resourced.

Did You Notice Our New Project? We noticed that there are high numbers of teenagers around the world who are not getting what they need from school. No matter how hard schools try, they don't have the time to give the appropriate coaching young people need to transition from being creative learners dependent on teachers to the independent learners they need to be not only for school, university and work but for life. We're addressing this issue in the first of many projects to be run through the Academy of Learner Development. The first step was to open the project (see link below) to a small cohort of teenagers who are coached by our most experienced learner-development coaches. The second stage is to open the Academy by launching courses for parents and teachers who would like to use our approaches with teens (from ten years up) at home or in class. Another course will be opened for people who would like to coach with us. The fee for the few teens we coach is on the high side but the courses for parents, teachers and potential coaches will be low. The reason for that low course fee is that the project's vision is that every teenager should have access to and support from a learner-development coach. Rushmere Tao Independent Teen Coaching Agency heralds the start of our Academy of Learner Development. www.rushmeretao.org
