Today marks ‘World Coconut Day’…here at Jacobi the humble coconut, and more specifically its shell which is typically a waste part of the coconut, form the base raw material of the majority of our activated carbon products. It’s renewable as well, making it the sustainable choice and by the time it’s been through some of our production processes, it is capable of helping to purify our air, and our water, both essential to our environment as well as a range of other clever uses. We even have our ‘Go Green’ iniative, which is a group wide programme where we innovate and work with customers to improve the sustainability at all levels of our business, switching from fossil based raw material products, over to coconut shell based. Through our #CEP, we aim to bridge the gap between communities and the resources, opportunities, and support they need. My team at Jacobi Resin Kotka has today with advise from Kotkan kaupunki – City of Kotka Park Department cleaned an area in the Seapark Katariina. Today is the annual #balticseaday. The objective of the day is to encourage people to enjoy the unique sea that belongs to us all, and to take concrete actions that benefit the sea. I am proud of our efforts this afternoon and we certainly made a difference by collecting the garbage from the area.

Earlier this month we were thrilled to host our “Go Green” ASIA Distributor Seminar 2024. For the event we opened up our Vietnam site in Ben Tre and welcomed our distributors and business partners to see how we are working on a day to day basis as we produce and offer sustainable purification products, based on our principles People, Planet, Product. We also hosted a panel discussion covering the future of distribution trends in the business and giving a few insights into our Go Green initiative, meeting market needs and enabling our partners to implement value selling.
