The creation of Kinstellar, in November 2008 from the Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest and Prague offices of Linklaters, launched a new era in the legal world of Emerging Europe. The first step in the implementation of these development plans came in 2010 with the establishment of a presence in Belgrade and Istanbul, followed by the opening of offices in: Almaty, Kazakhstan (2013), Sofia, Bulgaria (2014), Kyiv, Ukraine (2016, expanded with the acquisition of the local DLA practice in 2021), Tashkent, Uzbekistan (2018) and Zagreb, Croatia (2022). 📢 🇰🇿 #Kinstellar is proud to announce our involvement in the #development of Central Asia's largest public-private partnership (#PPP) #medical facility in Kokshetau, #Kazakhstan. 👉 With financing led by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), this project marks the region's first #healthcare PPP, supported by a EUR 365 million financing package from six major financial institutions. 🏥 The 630-bed, multi-disciplinary hospital will operate under a #greenfield PPP model, serving over 730,000 residents in Kokshetau and the broader Akmola region. Designed to achieve both LEED "Silver" and EDGE certifications, the facility embodies a strong commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, while its 24/7 hospital information management system (HIMS) will set new standards for #digitalisation in Kazakhstan's healthcare sector. 🌟 Our team, led by Managing Partner Joel B. 🎉 We’re thrilled to share our success at the 2024 FDI Moot Court Competition! 🌍 Competing against 175 teams participating in globals, nationals and regionals, our Charles University team—Martin Rožka, Jasmína Pustaiová, Angela Tsvetková, Kristína Nagyová, Marie Nová, and Simon Puchý—finished 6th overall, matching last year’s impressive achievement! 🏆 Special congratulations to Martin and Jasmína, who were recognized as top oralists, and to the team for securing 3rd place in the pleadings category during the group phase! 🇫🇷 In preparation, we also had the privilege of participating in the premoot in Prague and attending a training trip to Paris.
