Today, we’re happy to announce $15 million in funding for one of the leading fuel distributing companies in the Caribbean. The distributor provides aviation fuel to some of the world’s largest airlines and fuel service companies including American Airlines, United Airlines, and World Fuel Operations. The new client relationship signifies Tradewind’s entry into the aviation fuel sector and the expansion of its portfolio in the Caribbean. These milestones continue to demonstrate the firm’s agility in working with new geographies and industries and also reinforce its commitment to supporting businesses around the world with flexible, reliable capital. “Our client was seeking a non-bank lender to build a long-term working capital relationship with and scale with. Tradewind was extremely quick to show interest and was prompt to visit the client to meet their management team and see their operations. This helped build confidence and trust for both parties and ultimately allowed for a fast and smooth closing process. We’re excited to announce our continued support for the FIBC packaging industry in India, and have extended funding for two bulk packaging manufacturers, which they are using to accelerate their cash flow and scale their operations. The FIBC, or Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container industry, is focused on packaging solutions, or bulk bags, for the handling of goods on a large-scale. These manufacturers make durable packaging for a variety of applications, like the shipment of agricultural exports as well as liners for container ships. Akash Kanungo, Vice President – Business Development in Tradewind’s India office, remarked on the new collaborations: “The partnership with Tradewind is a game-changer for our clients. The financial support enables them to manage cash flow effectively, scale their operations, and cater to growing demand from international clients. Thank you to the African Leather and Leather Products Institute for inviting Tradewind Finance to the recent 17th Annual Africa Leather Value Chain Forum held in Kigali, Rwanda. The event brought together key stakeholders in the African leather sector including tanners, footwear and accessory manufacturers, government officials, industry associations, and financiers. Kyalo Ngaamba from Tradewind attended the forum and shared with participants how Tradewind’s trade finance solutions can provide support to exporters in the leather industry, helping them be more competitive by accelerating payments and increasing cashflows.
