At ANSA Merchant Bank, we believe that creating and sustaining lasting value for our community and our shareholders is dependent on the health of the natural world we live and work in. This is in line with The ANSA McAL Group goal of “Inspiring Better Choices for a Better World”.   That being said, we were proud to have been a platinum sponsor of AMCHAM T&T’s ESG Conference this past week – a day filled with meaningful discussions and marks of tangible progress in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) space.   The discussions included a panel on “ESG Reporting: Where We Are and Where We Are Going”, where our Head of Investments, A. Nigel Sabga, joined thought leaders in the field including Omar H. Mohammed, CEO of The Cropper Foundation, for a productive conversation. Another discussion focused on the evolving role of corporate governance in ESG implementation, or “Getting the “G” Right,”moderated by our very own Rachel Welch-Phillips, Head of Legal and Compliance and also 1st Vice Chair of AMCHAM T&T’s ESG Committee.   Further to this and zoning in on the “E” of ESG, ANSA Merchant Bank and ANSA Bank along with the Natural Capital Hub launched the Natural Capital Report 2023, the first private sector-led report of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean. An incredible milestone that marks just the beginning of our Banks’ reporting journey. Join us along our journey and read more at https://lnkd.in/eDyjAjHd.
