Love seeing our very own Kaleel embracing his creative side! 🎨🖋️ Sketching weekly and diving into the charm of our local architecture—what a fantastic way to stay inspired. This gingerbread house on Murray Street is a gem, and we’re here for the journey to a full sketchbook by March! Keep it up, Kaleel! 👏
This year, one of my top priorities is dedicating time to building my personal creative practice. As an architect and artist, I believe nurturing creativity is essential—not just for professional growth, but for staying connected to the joy of creating. To help me achieve this, I’ve set a goal to sketch weekly and fill an entire sketchbook by the end of March. It’s a small but meaningful way to stay inspired and sharpen my skills. Here’s a glimpse of this week’s sketch: a charming gingerbread house on Murray Street, one of my favorites in Port of Spain. Its intricate fretwork and timeless character remind me of the rich architectural heritage we’re privileged to have here in Trinidad and Tobago. Whether it’s sketching historic buildings, experimenting with new ideas, or simply appreciating the details around me, I’m excited to see where this creative journey takes me. How are you nurturing your creative side this year? Let’s inspire each other! #Architecture #CreativePractice #Sketching #CaribbeanArchitecture #ArchitecturalHeritage
