We are a Massyve #ForceForGood! The Massy Group announced the awardees of their 2024 ‘Forces for Good’ grants earlier this week. The programme, now in its second year, was launched as part of the Group’s Centennial celebrations last year. Employees from Barbados, Colombia, Guyana, Jamaica, St Lucia, St Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, and USA nominated a total of 185 projects and from those eventually selected 46 projects to receive ‘Forces for Good’ grants. All of the grant recipients meet the criteria for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals in the areas of Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Good Health and Wellbeing, Decent Work, Economic Growth and Industry Innovation and Infrastructure. Earlier this year, Massy Stores Trinidad embarked on a mission to make a difference in our communities by launching our School Intervention Program. One of our most impactful initiatives has been the establishment of kitchen gardens in schools across the country. Through these gardens, we are not only teaching children the value of sustainable agriculture but also nurturing a love for learning and a sense of responsibility towards food security. By empowering our youth with knowledge and hands-on experience, we are planting the seeds for a healthier and more self-sufficient future.
