National Energy hosts Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V Delegation National Energy welcomed a delegation from Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname from October 21st to 23rd, building on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the joint study of sustainable energy projects and the Letter of Intent (LoI) for capacity building and knowledge exchange signed by the two companies at the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Conference earlier this year. Over the course of the three days, the Staatsolie team connected with key stakeholders in T&T’s energy sector, including: • The Ministry of Energy & Energy Industries • The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited • National Energy Corporation of Trinidad & Tobago Ltd • Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited • LA BREA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LIMITED (LABIDCO) • NGC Green Company Limited • The Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago • Atlantic LNG • Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited • Heritage Petroleum Company The delegation also had the opportunity to experience T&T’s energy infrastructure firsthand, with visits to major industrial sites such as the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, Union Industrial Estate, La Brea Industrial Estate, PPGPL’s Gas Processing Facility, and Atlantic’s Liquefaction Facility. This visit further strengthens the commitment between Trinidad & Tobago and Suriname, laying the foundation for mutual growth, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of a sustainable energy future for our region. #RegionalEnergyCollaboration #NationalEnergy #Staatsolie

Yep, the National Energy Explorer Returned to Suriname—but Not for What You Think! After completing a seven-month drilling exploration campaign for PETRONAS in July, the National Energy Explorer recently returned to Suriname—this time, for its mandatory five-year Special Survey. During this routine inspection, the vessel underwent checks on its hull, machinery, safety equipment, and environmental compliance. The vessel has since returned to Trinidad re-certified and ready for future operations.

Preventative Maintenance Continues at Savonetta Piers National Energy recently started critical maintenance work on the trestles at Savonetta Pier 3 (SP3). In case you may be wondering, a trestle is a bridge that provides solid and evenly distributed support, allowing safe passage over challenging areas like water, valleys, or gorges. As part of our preventative efforts, these trestles are undergoing inspections to ensure their continued structural integrity, focusing on vulnerable areas impacted by iron fines from frequent shipments, which have caused corrosion due to moisture buildup. During the month, we also completed other maintenance projects to ensure safe and efficient operations at Savonetta Pier 3 & 4. #NationalEnergy #SavonettaPiers
